Yes, kayaks are available for $30. When you fill out your registration be sure to indicate that you need a kayak and we will send you a link to reserve your kayak. A limited number of kayaks are available and are on a first come first serve basis.
There are various types of vessels that are acceptable for the event. You can participate in a canoe, any type of kayak, stand up paddleboard, dragon boat, or any vessels where each person has their own paddle. Skulling boats and crew boats are not allowed (sorry).
Yes. teams are encouraged. Your team can work together as a relay (2-3 people) or everyone can compete all legs of the event together (10 person limit) Rules are that everyone must be 16 years of age or older and relay teams can only consist of 2-3 participants. In a relay participants will each take 1-2 legs of the event. for example you can work with as many people as you want and everyone can complete all parts of the event OR you can have a team work together so that each person takes a part of the event; the options are endless. If you are a relay team you must notate it in your registration, and each participant must pay seperately.
Registration is $65 until March 20th, $80 until June 1st, $90 until July 29th, and $125 July 30th . Kayaks (Available on site with advance reservation) are $25 and Bikes are available through Campus Wheelworks (must be picked up and dropped off by participant) Extra shirts are $20, each participant will be given an event day t-shirt.
Due to the number of participants and logistic details paddlers will be sent off in waves of 30 people and start times will be determined based on the total number of participants. If you need to request a start time please contact us, otherwise you will be grouped based on your experience level, team and boat size.
Yes, this is a fun event and there will be plenty of volunteers and staff to assist you any way that you need.
There will be no timing of this one-of-a-kind event.
